"As recorded in Matthew 28:19, Jesus tells us “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

What Is Baptism?

Water baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s belief in and union with Christ. As the scriptures tell us, baptism is a way we identify with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that we have turned from our former way of living life on our own, away from God, and have decided to walk in a new life with Christ as a new creation.

For many, baptism is the first public step of obedience to Christ.  Baptism is for the individual who has personally decided to place their faith in Christ and has received the saving benefits of Christ’s atoning work and has become His disciple.  Therefore, in obedience to Christ’s command and as a testimony to God, the church, oneself and the world, a believer should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Beyond Measure Ministries practices and teaches “believer’s baptism.” Before your baptism, we would like to meet with you to answer your questions about this ordinance and discuss the biblical significance of baptism. We will also cover several frequently asked questions, all logistical details of a baptism service and take the opportunity to talk with you about your journey that has brought you to this place in life.
